I’m not sure why, but I’ve been kind of obsessed with flowers recently. Flower crowns, flower wreaths, flower gardens… I just really love looking at them! So naturally I had been wanting to incorporate flowers into a photo session for a while, but wasn’t quite sure how to do it. I finally got the opportunity when my good friend Morgan had her gorgeous baby girl (Hanna!) a month ago and asked me to photograph her newborn portraits. I asked her if it would be okay if we took a little risk and try something new by incorporating a floral wreath into Hanna’s session… and she said yes! I was pumped!
I had a vision in my head for what I wanted the wreath to look like, but had no idea how long it would take to actually make it! After about 3 hours of cutting the flowers and arranging the wreath, I got a whole new admiration for florists.
Here’s the result… I’m kind of in love with it.
