Occasionally I get asked for wedding planning advice. This is funny, because I’m not married yet, so I might not even know what I’m talking about. But as wedding photographer and young adult female who’s photographed and/or attended around one hundred weddings, here’s what I’ve got…
Your wedding day is not a photo shoot. It’s not a Pinterest board competition. Trust me, peonies, pretty lights, and sparkly tablecloths are the bomb. They’re great, and I love taking photos of them! But at the end of the day, the only thing that holds much weight is your marriage.
Plan and pray about the thousands of days in store for your marriage, just as much as your one wedding day. In fifty years your wedding photos and memories will be treasures, but only if your marriage still exists.
